TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh is to join the cast of the Royal Ballet’s production of The Wind in the Willows at the Vaudeville Theatre this Christmas.

Directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, this sumptuous production is returning to the West End for a second year following its hugely popular run at the Duchess Theatre last Christmas.

The show was named Best Entertainment and Family at the 2014 Olivier Awards.

Alan Titchmarsh, whose career includes presenting Gardener’s World, Ground Force and The Alan Titchmarsh Show, will be making his West End debut as the narrator in the show.

Running from 6 November 2014 to 17 January 2015 at the Vaudeville Theatre, narration is written by former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion, with designs by the Quay Brothers and Nicky Gillibrand.

Suitable for anyone aged 5 and over, this Royal Opera House production brings Kenneth Grahame’s much-loved tale to the stage using  song, music, dance and puppetry.

Full casting will be announced shortly.
