Verdi’s extraordinary opera Otello, based on Shakespeare’s great tragedy, comes to the London Coliseum this Autumn (13 September to 17 October 2014).
This major new production by the ENO is timed to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth and is directed by David Alden (Peter Grimes – ENO), with ENO Music Director Edward Gardner.
A powerful cast includes star tenor – and 2014 International Opera Awards Male Singer of the Year – Stuart Skelton, who sings Otello for the first time, plus Leah Crocetto as Desdemona and Jonathan Summers as Iago.
Otello is sung and surtitled in English.
