NBC in the US has announced that a live Wicked TV special will air on the channel on 6 November 2025.
The special comes two weeks ahead of the cinema release of the second part of the blockbuster Wicked movies – Wicked: For Good on 21 November 2025.
The Wicked TV event will take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, and will feature stars of the movies, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda.
The duo will star alongside their co-stars and other surprise guests, performing songs from the first movie, and teasers for Wicked: For Good.

A release from NBCUniversal said audiences can also expect “maybe, just maybe, a little bit from the upcoming film.”
There’s currently no news on whether NBC, who will also stream the event on Peacock in the US, will broadcast the TV special in the UK. NBC’s Peacock streaming platform is available in the UK via Sky’s NOW streamer.
The blockbuster film also stars Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater and Marissa Bode.
There is huge anticipation for the concluding chapter of Jon M. Chu’s two-part screen adaptation of the smash-hit Broadway and West End musical.
The first movie, Wicked, was released last November and became a global phenomenon, grossing more than $750 million at the worldwide box office to become the biggest Broadway musical adaptation of all time.
Wicked scored 10 Academy Award nominations, including for Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, and won two awards.
The TV Special will be executive produced by Ben Winston with Fulwell Entertainment, part run by James Corden, serving as the production company. Raj Kapoor is Executive Producer.
Wicked: For Good lands in UK cinemas on 21 November 2025, almost exactly a year after Part One’s debut.
