Full cast announced for To Kill A Mockingbird UK & Ireland tour starring Richard Coyle

The full cast has been revealed for the first-ever UK and Ireland tour of To Kill a Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin’s acclaimed stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.

The production, which enjoyed sold-out seasons on Broadway and in London’s West End, will embark on a major regional tour from September 2025.

Leading the cast is Richard Coyle, reprising his role as principled lawyer Atticus Finch, a performance that garnered widespread praise during the show’s 2022 West End run. Coyle’s recent credits include The Player Kings, Macbeth, and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Joining Coyle is Anna Munden as Scout Finch, Gabriel Scott as Jem Finch, and Dylan Malyn as Dill Harris – the trio of children through whose eyes the story unfolds. Also featured in the cast are Andrea Davy as Calpurnia, Stephen Boxer as Judge Taylor, Aaron Shosanya as Tom Robinson, Oscar Pearce as Bob Ewell, and Evie Hargreaves as Mayella Ewell.

Other key roles include Richard Dempsey as Horace Gilmer, Sarah Finigan as Mrs. Dubose, Phillipa Flynn as Miss Stephanie / Dill’s Mother, and Harry Attwell as Mr. Cunningham / Boo Radley. Completing the principal cast are Colin R Campbell, Simon Hepworth, Paul Albertson, James Mitchell, Jonathan Rubin, Cheryl Burniston, Charlotte Luxford, Oyin Orija, Tiwai Muza, Tom Brace-Jenkins, and John J. O’Hagan.

Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, published in 1960, explores racial injustice in America and features one of the most iconic characters in literary history – small-town lawyer Atticus Finch – famously portrayed on screen by Gregory Peck. Set in Depression-era Alabama, To Kill a Mockingbird remains one of the most widely read and debated novels of the 20th century.

Adapted by Oscar winner Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network, A Few Good Men) and directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher (The King and I, My Fair Lady, South Pacific), this version of To Kill a Mockingbird was praised for its urgency and resonance in today’s social climate.

The production features a top-tier creative team, including Miriam Buether (Set Design), Ann Roth (Costume Design), Jennifer Tipton (Lighting), and Scott Lehrer (Sound). Adam Guettel provides the original score, with Kimberley Grigsby as Musical Supervisor. The Associate Director is Louisa Muller, with Laurence Belcher as Resident Director and Tavia Jefferson as Cultural Coordinator.

The tour kicks off at Leeds Playhouse on 8 September 2025, before travelling to Nottingham, Edinburgh, Leicester, Glasgow, Bath, Cardiff, Eastbourne, Salford, Sheffield, Dublin, Belfast, Plymouth, Canterbury, Southampton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Norwich, Liverpool, and Milton Keynes.
