JENNA RUSSELL in Grey Gardens

Jenna Russell stars in the West End transfer of Grey Gardens.

Quite possibly the hardest working woman in the West End, Jenna Russell is an award-winning actress who has recently completed a stint in the West End transfer of Di and Viv and Rose and Urinetown as Penelope Pennywise.

Jenna trained at Sylvia Young.

Her many and varied musical stage credits include Fantine in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre; the RSC including As You Like It, Antony and Cleopatra, The Winter’s Tale, Misha’s Party, Wildest Dreams and The Beggar’s Opera; Sunday in the Park with George at the Menier Chocolate Factory, in the West End and on Broadway (for which she won an Olivier Award and Tony nomination); two separate productions of Into the Woods – at the Donmar Warehouse and at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre; Follies at the Shaftesbury Theatre; Merrily We Roll Along at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Harold Pinter Theatre; Guys and Dolls in the West End; High Society in Sheffield; Martin Guerre at the Prince Edward; Soho Cinders at the Soho Theatre; Urinetown alongside Richard Fleeshman at the St James Theatre and the Apollo Theatre, Di and Viv and Rose at the Vaudeville Theatre, and Songs for a New World at the St James Theatre..

Drama and comedy roles on stage include Season’s Greetings and Metropolis Kabarett at the National Theatre, Amy’s View on tour and at the Garrick Theatre, Three Sisters at the Royal Court and Mr Burns at the Almeida Theatre.

Jenna’s TV credits include ITV sitcom Home to Roost, BBC comedy On The Up, Deborah Gilder in Born and Bred, Doctor Who, Minder, and Call The Midwife.

Grey Gardens starring Jenna Russell and Sheila Hancock will play from 2 January 2016 until 6 February 2016 at Southwark Playhouse.
