Hampstead Theatre has announced that Dickie Beau will perform in his acclaimed production of Showmanism for a limited season this summer.
Dickie Beau’s Showmanism will run at Hampstead Theatre from 18 June to 12 July 2025.
The show premiered at Theatre Royal Bath in 2022.
Showmanism is billed as an audiovisual love letter to performance that talks to us about art, about the world, and about being human, through the lens of Dickie Beau’s celebrated, unique lip sync mix-tape medium.
The show invites audiences to spend an evening in the company of stage and screen legends including Ian McKellen, Peter Sellars, Fiona Shaw and many more, as you have never seen, or heard, them before as Dickie traces a path through the world of performance in all its permutations, from Greek theatre to nightclub drag queens, from politics to puppetry.
Dickie Beau recently played Oscar Wilde in Blanche McIntyre’s production of Tom Stoppard’s The Invention of Love at Hampstead Theatre.
His other stage credits include Re-Member Me (Hampstead Theatre), Botticelli in the Fire (Hampstead Theatre) and The Tempest (Theatre Royal Bath); and on screen, he played Kenny Everett in the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and later this year appears in BBC drama What it Feels Like for a Girl.
Showmanism is directed by Jan-willem van den Bosch, with design by Justin Nardella, lighting design by Marty Langthorne and sound design by Dan Steele.

Dickie Beau’s Showmanism is playing at Hampstead Theatre from 18 June to 12 July 2025.
