The West End’s Ben Forster is releasing a new studio album of musical Greatest Hits.
Released through Westway Music, the album will be released on 10 October 2025.
Ben Forster is much-loved TV and stage actor and vocalist, best known for his performances in Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Show, Evita, and Elf The Musical.
In 2012, Ben won TV talent show Superstar, where Andrew Lloyd Webber searched for an actor to star in his arena tour production of hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar, alongside Melanie C and Tim Minchin.
Coming up, Ben is starring as the Phantom in the world tour of The Phantom of the Opera.
The new album is recorded with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and sees Ben reimagine some of the world’s biggest musical hits.
Shows featured on the album include The Greatest Showman, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables, Blood Brothers, Jesus Christ Superstar, Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, Follies and Beauty and the Beast.
Ben Forster said in a statement: “A lifelong ambition is finally coming true. I’ve always dreamed of creating a full orchestral album, and now it’s actually happening. It’s one of the biggest highlights of my career. I’m beyond thrilled to be bringing this body of work to life with an extraordinary team. The amazing BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra is lending their incredible talent to this project and the sound they’ve created is nothing short of breathtaking. It’s an honour to have them play on my album. This is for the fans and for everyone who loves musicals. It’s packed with iconic classics and soaring, cinematic arrangements that I’ve dreamed of performing for years. I couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world.”
