I Believe in Unicorns: Returns to the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre

A stage adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s much-loved children’s story I Believe in Unicorns is returning to the West End this summer.

Children’s theatre company Wizard Presents is bringing their production of I Believe in Unicorns, based on the book by award-winning children’s writer Michael Morpurgo (War Horse) – to the Vaudeville Theatre.

Running from 8 to 31 August 2015, the show follows a successful run at the Vaudeville theatre last summer.

This interactive one-woman show features storyteller Danyah Miller and is set in a library full of books which contain more than stories within their pages.

It is a tale of the power of books and the bravery of a young boy called Tomas. He loves playing in the mountains and hates reading and school but his world is turned upside down the day he meets the Unicorn and the Unicorn Lady in his local library.

This show is created by Wizard Presents, directed by Dani Parr, designed by Kate Bunce, with music and sound by Martin Thompson, lighting by Will Evans and projection by Arnim Freiss.

Michael Morpurgo said: “It is wonderful that a magic unicorn is coming to town, a unicorn like no other. A horse, like War Horse is one thing – also like no other – but a unicorn? No one will believe it until they see it, but a unicorn, once seen, like the horse, like Joey, is always believed.”
