Olivier Award-winning actress and singer Cassidy Janson is set to return to the West End stage this spring, headlining a special one-night-only concert at the Vaudeville Theatre on Monday, 7 April at 7:30 PM. The performance marks the second event in the Westway Sessions, a series of exclusive Monday night concerts featuring leading stars from the West End and Broadway. Janson, best known for her acclaimed performances in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and & Juliet, will deliver a setlist inspired by the music that has shaped her career. Among the highlights of the evening will be her much-loved rendition of Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, which she previously performed on Strictly Come Dancing.
Reflecting on the setlist, Janson shared her excitement: “It’s such an honour to perform so many well-loved songs. ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’ holds a special place in my heart as a Carole King song, and one I recorded with Beverley Knight and Amber Riley for the Classic Brit Award-nominated album Leading Ladies: Songs from the Stage.””
“It’s always a thrill to sing Nobody’s Side from Chess, which brings back great memories of performing with Michael Ball and Alexandra Burke. Music and lyrics are so powerful for an audience, and I’m sure I’ll see a few tears when I perform the Bette Midler classic Wind Beneath My Wings.
“The set is eclectic and filled with my musical influences, which is an absolute joy. It’s no secret that I adore jazz and a baritone vocal, so singing Gregory Porter’s Wolfcry will be a special moment.”
The concert will also include When a Woman, a track from the British film Fisherman’s Friends, in which Janson appeared. Her performance as Carole King in Beautiful received widespread acclaim, even earning praise from King herself, who, after a surprise visit to the show, remarked: “Cassidy Janson literally brought me to tears this evening with her performance of Natural Woman. She was who I was, she felt what I felt. She was me!” This praise later led to Janson performing alongside King in Hyde Park in front of 65,000 people.

The Westway Sessions are curated by Westway Music, a label dedicated to showcasing leading stars from the world of musical theatre. Janson’s concert follows Lee Mead’s session in March, with Kerry Ellis (Monday, 21 April) and Aimie Atkinson (Monday, 23 June) set to take the stage in future installments.
