This month sees Spooks and The Hobbit star Richard Armitage star in Arthur Miller’s modern classic The Crucible at the Old Vic Theatre in London.

A new photo has been released of Armitage as John Proctor in this new production by award-winning director Yael Farber.

Other cast include Anna Madeley as Elizabeth Proctor and Samantha Colley as Abigail Williams, plus Sarah Niles, Rebecca Saire and Zara White.

Presented in-the-round at the Old Vic, The Crucible runs from 21 June to 13 September 2014.
