First-look production photos have been released for Jamie Lloyd’s new production of The Tempest starring Sigourney Weaver at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London.

Jamie Lloyd (Sunset BoulevardRomeo & Juliet) has directed a thrilling new production of Shakespeare’s magical play The Tempest, now playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London until 1 February 2025.

Hollywood star Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Avatar, Gorillas In The Mist, The Ice Storm) is playing Prospero in the production, joined by Jude Akuwudike (Kyoto, A Mirror) as Alonso, Jason Barnett (The Seagull, Hot Wing King) as Stephano, Selina Cadell (A Monster Calls, The Dresser) as Gonzalo, Mathew Horne (The Lover / The Collection, Gavin & Stacey) as Trinculo, Mara Huf (The Effect, Childminder) as Miranda, Forbes Masson (Farm Hall, The Crown) as Caliban, Mason Alexander Park (Cabaret, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) as Ariel, James Phoon (Harry Potter and The Cursed Child) as Ferdinand, Oliver Ryan (Richard III, The Red King) as Sebastian and Tim Steed (Breeders, Jack Absolute Flies Again) as Antonio.

Following The Tempest, Jamie Lloyd will direct Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell as Benedick and Beatrice at Theatre Royal Drury Lane theatre, from 10 February 2025 to 5 April 2025.

The Tempest is running at Theatre Royal Drury Lane from 7 December 2024 to 1 February 2025.
