Sheridan Smith and Samantha Barks will headline Manchester at the Musicals, a festive celebration of musical theatre, at the Co-op Arena on 20 December 2024.

Targeted at theatre lovers, families, and festive fans alike, the event will feature iconic musical theatre songs with a seasonal twist.

Promising an extraordinary evening of talent, BAFTA and double Olivier Award-winner Sheridan Smith will perform hits from The Greatest Showman and Cilla. Joining her as co-hosts are acclaimed stage and screen star Samantha Barks (Disney’s Frozen, Les Misérables) and multi-platinum selling artist, Grammy nominee, and Tony award winner Alfie Boe (Les Misérables).

Alfie Boe said: “I’m delighted Sheridan asked me to join her and my wonderful friends for this special, one-off festive night of fun and dancing. From West End classics to Christmas classics, all set in a holiday dreamland created by Co-op Live it’s a show to get us all in the festive spirit.

The show will also feature West End stars Alice Fearn (Dear Evan Hansen, Come Away, Wicked movie), John Owen-Jones (Les Miserables) and Elesha Paul Moses (Tina Turner the Musical). 

The performances will be accompanied by the renowned Manchester Camerata, delivering a truly magical experience.

Expect songs from Wicked, Hamilton, Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar and more, plus seasonal classics like ‘White Christmas’ and ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’, at a very special party perfect for theatre lovers, Christmas fanatics, and those looking for a unique night out with friends and family. 

Manchester at the Musicals: A Festive Celebration will transform Co-op Live into an immersive winter wonderland. The venue, purpose-built for exceptional acoustics, will be adorned with seasonal decorations, offering guests tasty food, warming drinks, and a few extra surprises to make the evening unforgettable.
