The Play That Goes Wrong to return to West End

Hit off-West End comedy The Play That Goes Wrong is to get another West End transfer, moving to the Duchess Theatre this Autumn.

Starting previews from 5 September 2014, and opening on 14 September 2014 at the Duchess Theatre, the show started as a one-act play at the Old Red Lion fringe venue in London before moving to the Trafalgar Studios and is currently on a successful 21-week UK tour.

Winner of the 2014 Whatsonstage award for Best New Comedy the show is co-written by Mischief Theatre’s Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, and directed by Mark Bell.

This physical theatre comedy that combines traditional farce and Buster Keaton inspired slapstick is based around the fictional “Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society” who are attempting to put on a 1920’s murder mystery. But everything that can go wrong, does go wrong!

Produced by Top Hat The Musical producer Kenny Wax, the cast includes Charlie Russell, Dave Hearn, Greg Tannahill, Henry Lewis, Henry Shields, Jonathan Sayer, Nancy Wallinger and Rob Falconer.
