Casting has been announced for world premiere production of new musical Stalled, playing at the King’s Head Theatre in London in March.
Directed by Vikki Stone (Hey Duggee Live, Peter Pan), Stalled is playing for 6 weeks at the King’s Head from 13 February to 23 March 2025.
The cast is led by West End and Broadway star Lauren Ward (Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Dear Evan Hansen) and Josie Benson (Kiss Me Kate, Mamma Mia!).
Stalled also stars Cezarah Bonner (The King and I, Miss Saigon), Regina Co (Not A Birthday Goes By: A Sondheim Celebration), Emma Espada, Isabella Gervais (The Jingleclaw), Joanna Kirkland (Dear Evan Hansen), Evita Khrime (Rent), Rebecca-Jo Roberts, Carrie Sutton (Sister Act), and Grace Venus (Sleeping Beauty).
Stalled has a book and lyrics by Liesl Wilke, and music and lyrics by Andy Marsh, with additional music and lyrics by Kyle Puccia.
Alongside Vikki Stone in the creative team are Musical Director Livi van Warmelo; Set & Costume Designer Emily Bestow; Lighting Designer Ciarán Cunningham; Sound Designer Dan Samson; Production Manager Caroline Croft; Casting Director Rob Kelly; and Producer and General Manager Thomas Hopkins Productions.
The new musical is about mothers, daughters and moving on. Set in a bougie-ass Seattle ladies room, lost-but-searching Maggie and a frazzled mother, a neurodivergent daughter, a nonbinary poet and a queer computer scientist are among the characters whose paths cross and who navigate the ups and downs of modern life.

Stalled is running at the King’s Head from 13 February to 23 March 2025.
