Full casting has been announced for The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, coming to London’s The Other Palace theatre this Christmas.
Already announced is Max Harwood (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), who will star in the show as Percy Jackson. Max is currently in the cast of Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London.
Announced earlier this week, Max will be joined by Jessica Lee (Miss Saigon, Death Note, Les Miserables) as Annabeth, and Scott Folan (Be More Chill, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) as Grover.
Jessica Lee recently starred as Kim in the acclaimed new production of Miss Saigon at Sheffield Theatres. Scott Folan’s recent TV credits include The Serpent Queen and Master of Air; and film credits The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Cyrano.

The story of The Lightning Thief centres on New York City teenager Percy Jackson, who discovers that he is the half-blood son of the Greek god, Poseidon. His life takes a dramatic turn as he is plunged into a world much bigger than he could possibly have imagined.
The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is adapted from Rick Riordan’s best-selling novels, and has a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill), and music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs).
This new production will be directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day), and the musical director is Ben McQuigg.
The wider creative team includes set and costume design by Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting design by Charlie Morgan Jones, sound design by Dominic Bilkey, video design by Duncan McLean, illusions by Richard Pinner, fight direction by Lisa Connell, puppet direction by Laura Cubitt, musical supervision by Jeremy Wootton, associate set and costume design by Christophe Eynde, assistant director Danielle Kassaraté, and assistant choreographer Libby Watts.
