Shakespeare’s Globe has announced casting for its forthcoming production of Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

All’s Well That Ends Well will run in the indoor, candlelit venue from 8 November 2024 to 4 January 2025.

The production will be directed by Chelsea Walker (Visit from an Unknown Woman, Hampstead Theatre), making her debut at The Globe.

The cast of All’s Well That Ends Well will be led by Ruby Bentall (Lark Rise to Candleford) as Helen and Kit Young (Shadow and Bone) as Bertram.

They are joined by Catrin Aaron as Widow, Emilio Doorgasingh as Lafew, Richard Katz as King of France, Georgia-Mae Myers as Diana, Kwami Odoom as Dumaine, Siobhán Redmond as Countess, William Robinson as Paroles, and Adam Wadsworth as Morgan; and the Ensemble and Covers are Caroline Moroney and Sachin K. Sharma.

Joining director Chelsea Walker in the creative team are: Design by Bethany Gupwell, music composed by Simon Slater, Assistant Director Sofia Gallucci, Co-Costume Designer and Set Designer Rosanna Vize, Co-Costume Designer and Costume Supervisor Megan Rarity, Movement Director Michela Meazza, Fight Director Kevin McCurdy, Intimacy Director Lucy Fennell, Voice & Text Annemette Verspeak, and Casting Director Becky Paris.

Director Chelsea Walker said in a statement: “All’s Well that Ends Well is a thriller-esque social satire which interrogates power dynamics across class, gender and sexuality, and explores how far we’ll go to save face. It requires a bold, playful ensemble of actors who are up for rediscovering and reframing this play for today’s audience. I’m very excited to be working with such a talented, fearless company and I look forward to seeing what we create together.”

All’s Well That Ends Well is playing at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 8 November 2024 to 4 January 2025.

Kit Young attended RADA and is best known for playing “Jesper” in Eric Heisserer’s hit television drama, Shadow and Bone, a series produced by 21 Laps and one that became one of Netflix’s most watched shows.
Previous work at Shakespeare’s Globe includes Macbeth. Other theatre credits include: The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie (Donmar Warehouse); Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (two plays for Nicholas Hytner at The Bridge).
