Production photos of L’Ormindo at Shakespeare’s Globe
The first season at the new Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, part of Shakespeare’s Globe on the South Bank, continues with a collaboration between The Globe and The Royal Opera.
Francesco Cavalli’s opera L’Ormindo, which was first staged in Venice in 1644, is produced in the intimiate, atmospheric setting of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse by nine singers and an orchestra of eight.
Kasper Holten dircts, with music directed by Baroque specialist Christian Curnyn.
