Emmy-award nominated actor and star of Ted Lasso Phil Dunster is hosting an evening of entertainment at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London in November, in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer.
An Evening with Phil Dunster & Friends will feature an exclusive line-up of performers from the worlds of drama, music and comedy in a one-night-only variety show at the Victoria Palace Theatre on Sunday 24 November 2024.
Phil will be joined by special guests including West End star Zizi Strallen (Cake: The Marie Antoinette Playlist, Mary Poppins), and comedians Rob Delaney and Aisling Bea.
Singer-songwriters Alex Vargas and BEKA are also part of the line-up, with further acts to be announced.
The event will raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people with cancer.
Phil Dunster, who is an ambassador for the charity, said in a statement: “Wow wow wow! It is beyond a dream to bring this show together on one of the most iconic stages on the West End. I’ve called upon some lovely friends for an evening of joy, silliness and entertainment. We would love to see as many people come to support the cause as possible. I first learned about Young Lives vs Cancer when Rory, the son of my cousin Matt and his wife Amy, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumour sometimes found in children. As you could imagine it was devastating, and an incredibly sad and confusing time but within 48 hours of his diagnosis, Matt and Amy had a Young Lives vs Cancer Social Worker by their side offering logistical, financial, and emotional support. They were there by their side, all the way through what was the most awful time.”
