Smash-hit ABBA musical Mamma Mia! has announced a new UK tour for 2025 and 2026.
The tour will start at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton in October 2025 before heading to Bristol, Oxford and Edinburgh. See all dates here.
Further dates into 2026 are to be announced, as is casting.
ABBA’s timeless songs are packed into this sunny, witty show about a mother, a daughter and three possible dads, all set on an idyllic Greek island.
Now in its 26th year in the West End, the show is still packing in audiences at the Novello Theatre in London, having played for over 10,000 performances and seen by over 11 million people.
Judy Craymer, Creator and Producer of Mamma Mia!, said in a statement: “It’s fabulous that Mamma Mia! will be returning to Southampton, Bristol, Oxford and Edinburgh. MAMMA MIA!’s much-loved story inspired by ABBA’s irresistible hits is celebrating 25 years in the West End and continues to thrill audiences around the world. We can’t wait to again visit these great cities with the new UK Tour and welcome back audiences to our Greek island idyll!”
Mamma Mia! has music and lyrics by ABBA’s Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus, and is written by Catherine Johnson.
Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, the show is choreographed by Anthony Van Laast and designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
Tickets for Southampton are on sale on 2 October; and Bristol, Oxford and Edinburgh go on sale on 17 September.
Mamma Mia! also continues its run at the Novello Theatre in London, now booking to 27 September 2025.
