Mercury Musical Developments and Stiles + Drewe in partnership with Broadway Licensing Global have announced the finalists for this year’s Stiles + Drewe Best New Song Prize.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Other Palace in London on Monday 2nd December 2024, where the noninated songs will be performed by a cast of West End stars.
This year’s 12 songs were selected from 202 song submissions, for this annual award recognising an outstanding song from a new musical, written by a member of Mercury Musical Developments.
The Prize was established and is overseen by acclaimed writing duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins, Becoming Nancy, Identical, Honk!).
A panel of industry judges, including George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, will award the prize and the winner will receive a prize of £1000 towards developing their work.
Last year’s Prize went to Rachel Walker Mason and Nina Sundstrom for their song ‘Drown Without Water’ from the musical The Circle.
