This multi-award winning, epic National Theatre production of JB Priestley’s An Inspector Calls is touring the UK in 2024 and 2025, starting at London’s Alexandra Palace Theatre from 30 August to 21 September 2024, and then visiting Stoke, Darlington, Bristol, Belfast, Liverpool, Aylesbury, Salford, Norwich, Southampton, Shrewsbury, Hull, Blackpool, Wolverhampton, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sunderland, Birmingham, Milton Keynes and London Wimbledon. The cast of An Inspector Calls is led by Tim Treloar as Inspector Goole, with Jackie Morrison as Mrs Birling, Jeffrey Harmer as Mr Birling, Tom Chapman as Gerald Croft, Leona Allen as Sheila Birling, George Rowlands as Eric Birling and Alice Darling as Edna, alongside Katy Dean, Michael Gukas, Pena Iiyambo, Simon Pothecary and Philip Stewart complete the cast.
JB Priestley’s 1946 masterpiece powerfully dramatises the dangers of casual capitalism’s cruelty, complacency and hypocrisy. This acclaimed production won 3 Olivier Awards and 4 Tony Awards, directed by Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Hours, The Crown, Stranger Things: The First Shadow).
The creative team for the tour also includes design by Ian MacNeil, music by Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love), lighting by Rick Fisher, and the associate director is Charlotte Peters.
