Sierra Boggess returns to The Phantom of the Opera to play Carlotta Giudicelli in the 40th anniversary cast, opposite Matt Bateman as Piangi. Boggess, one of the production’s most celebrated Christines, has previously starred in its 25th anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall and in two separate Broadway engagements of the show. She continues in the role through 21 November 2026, with the anniversary season including a special gala performance on 9 October 2026 marking exactly 40 years since the musical first opened in the West End.

About Sierra Boggess
Sierra Boggess is an American actress and singer with an extensive career spanning Broadway, the West End, and concert stages worldwide. She is widely regarded as one of the definitive interpreters of Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera, and is equally well known for originating the role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid on Broadway, for which she received Drama Desk and Drama League nominations and the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. Alongside her stage career, Boggess tours internationally with her own concert show, and has released several studio and cast recordings.

- London theatre credits include Les Misérables, the 25th anniversary concert of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, and Love Never Dies, for which she received an Olivier Award nomination
- Other New York theatre credits include The Good-bye Girl, the Off-Broadway premiere of Harmony, Manhattan Concert Productions’ The Secret Garden at Lincoln Center, a one-night-only concert of Guys & Dolls at Carnegie Hall opposite Nathan Lane, Patrick Wilson, and Megan Mullally, the final Off-Broadway cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, and Music in the Air at Encores!
- Starred in the world premiere of the musical adaptation of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre
