MISS SAIGON: Korean star Kwang-Ho Hong cast as Thuy

Korean star Kwang-Ho Hong has been cast in the role of Thuy in Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Miss Saigon at the Prince Edward Theatre in London.

The show kicks off at the Prince Edward on Saturday 3 May 2014, in the 25th anniversary year of the show.

Kwang-Ho Hong is a major solo artist in South Korea and one of the country’s top musical actors having played roles in Mackintosh’s productions of The Phantom of the Opera, and in Jekyll and Hyde and Man of La Mancha.

Other cast announced for Miss Saigon include Jon Jon Briones as The Engineer, Eva Noblezada as Kim, Alistair Brammer as Chris, Tamsin Carroll as Ellen, Hugh Maynard as Joh’ and Rachelle Ann Go as Gigi.

Miss Saigon has Music by Claude-Michel Schönberg with Lyrics by Richard Maltby Jnr and Alain Boublil, adapted from Original French Lyrics by Alain Boublil with Additional Lyrics by Michael Mahler. This new production is directed by Laurence Connor.
