Mean Girls The Musical starts previews TONIGHT, 5 June, at the Savoy Theatre in London.

To celebrate, check out these fetch interviews with the cast of the London production, and some very sweet words of encouragement from the original Broadway cast of the show.

Leading the West End premiere of Mean Girls is Charlie Burn (Les Misérables) as Cady Heron, with The Plastics played by Georgina Castle (Regina George), Elèna Gyasi (Gretchen Wieners), and Grace Mouat (Karen Smith).

Elena Skye and Tom Xander star as Janis and Damian, while Daniel Bravo plays Aaron Samuels.

They are joined by Lucca Chadwick-Patel as Kevin Ganatra, Ako Mitchell as Mr Duvall,  Zoë Rainey as Ms Norbury/Mrs George/Ms Heron, alongside Tia Antoine-Charles, Georgia Arron, Liam Buckland, Shonah Buwu, Baylie Carson, Freddie Clements, Siobhan Diffin, Clíona Flynn, Fergie Fraser, Angus Good, Jenny Huxley-Golden, Holly Liburd, Corey Mitchell, Mervin Noronha, Aharon Rayner, Trézel Sergeant, Josh Singleton, Annie Southall, Lillia Squires, Tommy Wade-Smith and Holly Willock.

Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (Disney’s Aladdin, The Book of Mormon) with music by Jeff Richmond (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and a book by the films screenwriter Tina Fey (30 Rock).

Also in the creative team are Scott Pask (Scenic Design), Katrina Lindsay (Costume Design), Kenneth Posner (Lighting Design), Brian Ronan (Sound Design), Finn Ross and Adam Young (Video Design), Josh Marquette (Hair Design), Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Musical Supervision), and Natalie Gallacher for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting (Casting).

Based on Tina Fey’s 2004 film starring Lindsay Lohan, Mean Girls tells the story of a young girl who moves from the plains of Africa to a suburban high school in Illinois. She quickly learns that the wilds of Africa did not prepare her for the fierce and vicious manoeuvres of the popular girls in an American high school.
