The Orange Tree Theatre in London has revealed full casting for its forthcoming European premiere of Red Speedo.
Already announced is the show’s lead, Finn Cole, who plays series regular Michael Gray in Peaky Blinders. His other screen credits include An Inspector Calls, Animal Kingdom, Dreamland, Locked In, and Last Breath.
Finn Cole will make his stage debut in Red Speedo as Ray, alongside Fraser James (The Seagull – Regent’s Park Open Air) as Coach, Parker Lapaine (House of the Dragon) as Lydia, and Ciarán Owens (The Windsors: Endgame, Peaky Blinders, The Last Kingdom) as Peter.
Red Speedo is a thrilling new play about elite sports and the unforgiving weight of success in a world where the only crime is getting caught.
Written by Lucas Hnath (A Doll’s House, Part 2), the play is directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 A Ghost Story, Shirley Valentine, The Hunger Games On Stage).
The creative team also includes Set Designer Anna Fleischle; Associate Set Designer and Costume Designer Cat Fuller; Lighting Designer Sally Ferguson; Sound Designer Holly Khan; Casting Director Matilda James CDG; Fight Director Claire Llewellyn for RC Annie; and Accent Coach Aundrea Fudge.
Red Speedo runs from 13 July to 10 August 2024 at the Orange Tree Theatre London.
