The Turbine Theatre in London has announced its annual “Very Adult Panto” for Christmas 2024.
The Liar, The Bitch and The Wardrobe will play at the Turbine Theatre from  21 November to 22 December 2024.
Written by Joshua Coley, the panto sees two Londoners escape to the country for a simpler life until a trip back in the closet transports them both to an unknown land, meeting ‘almost’ recognisable characters including Mr Topless, The Hungry Beaver, The Tight Bi*ch and Aslan.
The Liar, The Bitch and The Wardrobe follows last year’s successful adult panto at the Turbine, The Nutcracker, A Very Adult Pantomime.
The Turbine Theatre has also confirmed this week that Matthew Todd’s queer drama Blowing Whistles, which was originally scheduled for this month at theTurbine, has moved to the autumn.
Blowing Whistles will now play from 15 October to 16 November 2024.
Set the night before Pride in the Park, Blowing Whistles promises to be a searingly topical drama about love, sex and Gay Pride, and a blisteringly funny and honest account of a modern gay lifestyle.
Yesterday, the Turbine Theatre announced casting for its forthcoming revival of the Pet Shop Boys and Jonathan Harvey’s musical Closer to Heaven. The show will star Frances Ruffelle, Courtney Bowman and Glenn Adamson.
