Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose will host the 77th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday 16 June 2024.

This will be the Tony Award nominee third year in a row hosting America’s most prestigious theatre awards ceremony where she will also serve as a producer for the event and will choreograph the opening number.

The Tony Awards ceremony will come from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday 12 June 2022, from 8pm to 11pm ET (New York Time) or 5pm to 8pm PT (LA time) on CBS in the US, and streaming live on Paramount+.

Details on other hosts and presenters will be announced soon.

Ariana DeBose is known for her roles on stage, film and TV. DeBose is best known for her ground-breaking performance in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, for which she received Oscar, BAFTA, Critics Choice, and SAG Awards for her star turning role as “Anita”. On-stage, DeBose is perhaps best known for her role as “Disco Donna” in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, which earned her a 2018 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. For the same role, she was nominated for a Drama League Award for “Distinguished Performance” and won a Chita Rivera Award for “Outstanding Female Dancer in a Broadway Show.

DeBose’s theatre credits include: original Broadway casts of Tony-winning musical Hamilton and A Bronx Tale; Award-winning revival of Pippin; Motown The Musical; Bring It On: The Musical and ensemble in Stephen Sondheim’s Company.

The 77th Annual Tony Awards will be presented at the David H Koch Theater at New York City’s Lincoln Center. As in past years, it will be broadcast live on CBS from 8pm to 11pm (ET) and it will also stream on Paramount+ in the United States.

CBS and Pluto TV will also partner to present the first round of awards as part of the pre-show special The Tony Awards: Act One, with further details to be announced at a later date.

Nominations for the 2024 Tony Awards will be announced on Tuesday, 30 April.

The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, and White Cherry Entertainment. Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss are executive producers for White Cherry Entertainment.
