Hamlet, the new solo show by Eddie Izzard, is transferring from New York to London.
Hamlet will play the Riverside Studios in London from 23 May to 30 June 2024.
Eddie is currently starring in the show at the Orpheum Theatre in New York, and takes on all 23 characters from Shakespeare’s tragedy.
The production is co-adapted by Eddie’s brother Mark Izzard and directed by Selina Cadell.
Izzard and Cadell also worked with each other on Eddie’s solo and acclaimed production of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, which scored some impressive reviews from the critics. Great Expectations played the Riverside Studios in 2022 and went on to play the West End’s Garrick Theatre last year.
Joining Selina Cadell in the creative team are set design by Tom Piper, lighting design by Tyler Elich, costume stylists Piper and Libby DaCosta, and movement director Didi Hopkins.
Hamlet is running at the Orpheum Theatre in New York until 14 April 2024, and playing the Riverside Studios in London from 23 May to 30 June 2024.
