In an exclusive interview, the director talks about Alan Bennett’s film The Choral – starring Ralph Fiennes – which he will direct

“It has been the great constant in my creative life,” Nicholas Hytner observes of his remarkable working relationship with Alan Bennett. It’s a partnership that has seen Hytner direct, among numerous works, Bennett’s biggest theatrical hits – The Madness of George III, The Lady in the Van and The History Boys. All three of these he later successfully brought to life on screen.
