Shrek The Musical star Nigel Harman hoists up his trousers as Simon Cowell in I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical at the London Palladium.
Nigel Harman has risen quickly in the West End league table, notably for winning an Olivier award for his sublime performance as Lord Farquaad in Shrek The Musical.
And now he is set to move into another theatrical league altogether as he takes the role of Simon Cowell (no less) in I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical, the talent show musical with a dream creative team that includes Harry Hill.
Still best known for playing heart-throb Dennis Rickman in BBC1’s EastEnders, Nigel has also worked extensively in theatre, with roles including Three Days of Rain at the Apollo, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre and on tour, True West at the Sheffield Crucible, Privates on Parade at the Donmar Warehouse and A Chorus of Disapproval at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
In addition to EastEnders, TV and film roles include a forthcoming role in ITV’s Downton Abbey, plus BBC1’s Hotel Babylon and Blood Diamond.
In I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical he will be joined by rising young stars Cynthia Erivo and Alan Morrissey.
