New West End show Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical has added new dates to its run at The Other Palace Theatre.
The show has added five extra weeks to its run, which was scheduled to end on 14 April, but will now play to 19 May 2024.
A brand new trailer has also been released for the show, which opened last month and scored some great reviews from the critics.
Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical is based on Roger Kumble’s movie, that is celebrating its 25th anniversary and starred Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair. The movie was in turn inspired by the French novel, Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
The London premiere production of Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical stars Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky (Six) as Kathryn and Daniel Bravo (Witness for the Prosecution) as Sebastian, with TikTok star Abbie Budden (Peter Pan) as Annette, and Rose Galbraith (Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends) as Cecile.
The cast also includes Josh Barnett (Newsies, The Last 5 Years) as Blaine, Jess Buckby (42nd Street, Anything Goes) as Ms Bunny Caldwell / Dr Greenbaum, Nickcolia King-N’Da (RSC) as Ronald and Barney Wilkinson (Bonnie & Clyde The Musical, Bat Out of Hell) as Greg; plus the ensemble includes Craig Watson (Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream) as Understudy Sebastian; Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (& Juliet); Charlotte O’Rourke (Mamma Mia!); and Verity Thompson (Heathers).
Created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble the show has a soundtrack of the greatest ‘90s pop classics, all performed live, including ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ by The Verve, R.E.M’s ‘Losing My Religion’, Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn’, ‘I Saw the Sign’ by Ace of Base, Christina Aguilera’s ‘Genie in a Bottle’, TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’, Boyz II Men’s ‘I’ll Make Love to You’, *NSYNC’s ‘Bye Bye Bye’, Britney Spears’ ’Sometimes’ and many more.
The show is directed by Jonathan O’Boyle, alongside a creative team that includes: Associate Director & Choreographer Gary Lloyd; Set & Costume Designer Polly Sullivan; Lighting Designer Nick Richings; Sound Designer Chris Whybrow; Musical Director Denise Crowley; Associate Choreographer Matt Nicholson; Costume Supervisor Hugo Aguirre; and Casting Will Burton for Grindrod Burton.
