Rachel Kavanaugh to direct Anthony Shaffer’s Sleuth UK tour

Award-winning director Rachel Kavanaugh (Half a Sixpence, The Great British Bake Off Musical) will direct a new production of Anthony Shaffer’s classic thriller Sleuth, for a major new UK tour.

Sleuth will star Todd Boyce (Coronation Street’s Stephen Reid) and Neil McDermott (EastEnders, The Royal).

Shaffer’s dark psychological thriller about thrillers is an intriguing study of human conflict, jealousy, and manipulation.

The show enjoyed long runs in the West End and on Broadway, and was turned into a hit movie starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine.

The UK tour kicks off at the Theatre Royal Windsor on 31 January 2024, with dates including Bath, Torquay, York, Eastbourne, Bradford, Southend, Malvern, Cheltenham and Guildford, and with further dates to be added.

Joining Rachel Kavanaugh in the creative team are design by Julie Godfrey, lighting design by Tim Oliver and sound design by Andy Graham.
