Smash-hit West End show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has extended its run at the Palace Theatre in London to February 2026.
Producers of the play, Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, announced the further booking date extension today for the internationally award-winning show.
That means there are now 360,000 new tickets for Harry Potter across its two parts, which is more than ever as the theatre has also added 50 extra seats to the auditorium for each performance.
The show is also celebrating another milestone this month, welcoming its 2 millionth patron to the Palace Theatre. Worldwide, the show has been seen by over 11 million people.
In July 2024, the show celebrated 8 years in the West End; and in December 2024 the London production hit the milestone of selling 3 million tickets.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is written by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany, and has movement by Steven Hoggett, set by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison, music supervision and arrangements by Martin Lowe, and casting by Julia Horan CDG and Lotte Hines CDG.
The West End’s Palace Theatre hosted the original, world premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is one play presented in two parts. The play is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.
The current Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast comprises David Ricardo-Pearce as Harry Potter, Claire Lams playing Ginny Potter and Ellis Rae as their son Albus Potter. Thomas Aldridge plays Ron Weasley with Naana Agyei-Ampadu playing Hermione Granger along with Eve de Leon Allen as their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley. Steve John Shepherd plays Draco Malfoy, with Harry Acklowe as his son Scorpius Malfoy.
They are joined by Ishmail Aaron, David Annen, Nicole-Lily Baisden, Sabina Cameron, Rob Curtis, Zijuan Elsol, Gabriel Fleary, Rory Fraser, Tim Hibberd, Sally Jayne Hind, Max Hunter, Dewayne Jameson Adams, Emma Louise Jones, Julia Kass, Debra Lawrance, Tasha Lim, Matty Loane, Sophie Matthew, Jaden Oshenye, Helen Power, Jocelyn Prah, Conor Quinn, Ian Redford, Catherine Russell, Martin de los Santos, Adam Slynn, Benjamin Stratton, Alex Tomkins, Jake Tuesley, Sam Varley and Katie Wimpenny. Oliver Dawson, Layla Duke, Aubrey Hayes, Rhiannon Parry, Aljosa Radosavljevic, Sienna Sibley and Ethan Webster alternate two children’s roles.
In other Harry Potter news, throughout March the show is celebrating House Pride with dedicated ‘house’ performances at the Palace Theatre, encouraging fans to dress up in their house colours with giveaways and other surprises in store at each of these performances. The House Pride performances are: Wednesday 5 March – Gryffindor, Wednesday 12 March – Slytherin, Wednesday 19 March – Ravenclaw and Wednesday 26 March – Hufflepuff.
Also this year, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is partnering with the charity World Book Day, which will include the West End cast visiting a London school.

The London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is currently split into two parts. The Broadway show recently reduced the run time of its one-part-only version of the show to under 3 hours.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is produced by West End and Broadway impresario Sonia Friedman Productions (The Book of Mormon, Mean Girls) and Colin Callender’s Playground Entertainment (Wolf Hall).
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now booking to 15 February 2026 at the Palace Theatre London.
