Drew McOnie’s Nutcracker – teaser trailer released

A teaser trailer of Drew McOnie’s new production of the Nutcracker has been released via social media.

Featuring dancers Sam Salter, Chanelle Anthony & Amonik Melaco the trio provide a taste of what to expect in Drew McOnie’s jazz adaptation of the Nutcracker.

The show features Tchaikovsky’s world-famous score reimagined for an on stage jazz band by multi-award winning jazz artist Cassie Kinoshi.

In the clip, the score is played by musicians Patrick Boyle, Hannah Fry, Karl Abel & Yohan Kebede and filmed by Foley and the Champ.

The new production will be directed and choreograhed by Olivier award winner Drew McOnie with design by Soutra Gilmour. 

Nutcracker opens at brand new venue, The Tuff Nutt Jazz Club at the Southbank Centre in London, running from 28 OCtober to 6 January 2024.
