Bat Boy: The Musical is to get a concert performance at the London Palladium this Halloween 2023.
The concert will star Jordan Luke Gage (Bonnie and Clyde) as Edgar, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Cinderella, Hex) as Meredith, Trevor Dion Nicholas (Hamilton, Next To Normal) as Dr Parker, and Jodie Steele (But I’m A Cheerleader) as Shelley.
Further casting is to be announced.
Directed by Dean Johnson (Once), this cult American rock horror musical has music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe (Heathers, Legally Blonde), and a book by Keythe Farley and Brian Flemming.
In the show, Edgar (Jordan Luke Gage) is a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave in a rural American town. The local sheriff brings Bat Boy to the home of the town veterinarian, Dr. Parker (Trevor Dion Nicholas), where he is eventually accepted as a member of the family by the veterinarian’s wife, Meredith (Victoria Hamilton-Barritt), and teenage daughter, Shelley (Jodie Steele). However, resentment and a dreadful secret about his shocking origins threaten to turn the town, and everyone he loves against him.
Bat Boy: The Musical will play the London Palladium on Tuesday 31 October 2023.
