Battersea Park In Concert has announced ‘A Night at the Musicals‘ on the August bank-holiday weekend.
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe will be joined by four leading West End stars for a night of songs from the shows.
The line-up includes The Phantom of the Opera stars Bradley Jaden (Les Miserables, Treason) and Kelly Mathieson (Into the Woods, South Pacific), and We Will Rock You alumni Alex Gaumond (The Madame Blanc Mysteries, Sylvia) and Abbie Osmon (Lord of Rings, Evita).
The 40-piece choir the London Concert Chorus will also perform on the night.
A host of famous show tunes are promised, from shows including Les Misérables, Wicked, Cats, Mamma Mia!, Oklahoma, West Side Story and more.
Battersea Park in Concert – A Night at the Musicals is playing on Saturday 26 August 2023.
Other events during the weekend include Proms in the Park on Sunday 27 August; and Jazz in the Park on Monday 28 August featuring UK jazz stars including Yolanda Brown, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, and Gabrielle.
