The cast has been revealed for Derren Brown’s new show UNBELIEVABLE – Magic Reimagined at the West End’s Criterion Theatre.
Derren Brown isn’t appearing in the show, but those who are starring include West End actor Simon Lipkin (Elf The Musical), Yolanda Ovide (Jitney), Critics’ Circle award-winner Samuel Creasy (The Book of Dust), Hannah Price (Kinky Boots), Laura Andresen Guimarães (Othello), Alexander Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors), and Izalni Batista Nascimento Junior, plus Emily Redlaff, Samuel Brenton (NewsRevue) and Rhys Shon (Stomp) are understudies.
UNBELIEVABLE is billed as “a magic show like no other” that fuses the best of theatre with jaw dropping illusions that have never been seen before in the West End, and combines comedy, illusion and song to create an extraordinary evening in the theatre.
The cast, along with a New York Subway band, will bring to life on stage an evening of bewildering trickery, from the imagination of Derren Brown.
The show also includes an updated version of a one act play not seen on the London stage in over 100 years called Will, The Witch and the Wolfman.
The show is created, written and directed by UK stage and screen phenomenon Derren Brown, and long-time collaborators Andy Nyman and Andrew O’Connor. Derren Brown will NOT appear in the show.
Also in the creative team are Steinmeyer Design for the illusions, set and costumes by Hayley Grindle, choreography by Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecounte, music by Charlie O’Connor, lighting by Natasha Chivers, sound by Nicola T. Chang, projections by Simon Wainwright, casting by Harry Blumenau, magic consulting by Harry De Cruz, general management by Kenny Wax Ltd, co-production by the Mercury Theatre and executive production by John Dalston.
Unbelievable begins performances at the Criterion Theatre on Piccadilly on 19 September 2023, booking to 7 April 2024.
