Production images are in for new musical Roman Holiday at the Theatre Royal Bath starring Michael Xavier and Rebecca Collingwood.
The show is based on the much-loved 1953 Hollywood movie starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, and is directed by Olivier Award winner Jeremy Sams (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), and adapted by Kirsten Guenther and Paul Blake (White Christmas).
The songs in the show are all Cole Porter classics, including Easy To Love, You Do Something To Me, In The Still Of The Night, Just One Of Those Things and Night and Day.
Roman Holiday stars Michael Xavier (My Fair Lady, Sunset Boulevard) as American journalist Joe, and Rebecca Collingwood as young Princess Ann, alongside Richenda Carey as Countess, Adrian der Gregorian as Irving, Tania Mathurin as Francesca, Tim Frances as Hennessy, and Gabrielle Cocca, Francis Dee, Maya de Faria, Joshua Gibbons, Heather Jackson, Ediz Mahmut, Max Mirza, Mia Mullarkey, Jesus Reyes Ortiz, Josh Patel-Foster, George Renshaw, and Ollie Selwood.
The creative team also includes Choreography by Matt Cole and Jane McMurtie, Set and Costume design by Francis O’Connor, Lighting design by Mark Henderson, Sound design by Tom Marshall, and Casting by Ginny Schiller CDG.
Roman Holiday is currently playing at the Theatre Royal Bath until 1 July 2023. There’s no current news of a West End transfer for the show – but we have everything crossed!
