Vogue partners with London arts and the West End for Vogue World London

Olivier Award-winning Director Stephen Daldry (Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Billy Elliot The Musical, The Crown) is to creatively oversee major one-night event Vogue World London, coming to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on 14 September 2023.

The Vogue World event, organised by the fashion magazine Vogue, follows last year’s inaugural Vogue World event in New York, which took over West 13th Street with a star-studded fashion parade.

The London show will be directed by Emily Burns and produced by Fran Miller – both of whom work for the National Theatre.

The show promises to feature the best of British culture and fashion, and kick-start London Fashion Week with a red carpet, performances, and a runway extravaganza showcasing the best of the autumn/winter 2023 collections.

Vogue World will showcase a wide cross-section of the London’s arts scene, and the show will be supported by the Royal Opera House, Andrew Lloyd Webber and LW Theatres, the Royal Ballet, and the Rambert Dance Company.

Opera singers, supermodels, musicals stars, theatrical knights and dames, fashion designers, ballerinas and more will all be represented, with names already confirmed including Ian McKellen, Michaela Coel, Victoria Beckham and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief of British Vogue and European Editorial Director, Vogue, said in a statement: “I’m thrilled to be co-hosting the second edition of Vogue World in London,” says . “British Vogue has been championing fashion, culture, and the magical point where the two intersect for 107 years. Now, we’re bringing its pages to life with the help of industry-leading talents in order to support the full spectrum of the creative arts in London. I can’t wait for everyone to join us at Theatre Royal Drury Lane for a night to remember.”

All of the net ticket proceeds from the event will benefit performing arts organisations in London, including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, the Rambert Dance Company, and the Royal Ballet.

Currently playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane is Disney’s Frozen The Musical.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am tomorrow, 2 June 2023.
