Gareth Gates will now join The SpongeBob Musical’s London run

Gareth Gates has now been confirmed as performing in the London run of The SpongeBob Musical.

It wasn’t looking like he would be, but now producers of the show have confirmed that Gates will alternate in the role of Squidward with Tom Read Wilson, during the show’s London run at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank.

It was announced back in March that Tom Read Wilson, best known as the receptionist on Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating, would alternate with Gareth Gates in the part of Squidward for the UK National Tour of The SpongeBob Musical, with Tom playing Bradford, Manchester, Sheffield, Peterborough, Wonverhampton, Leicester and Aberdeen, and Gareth playing Southampton, Birmingham, Oxford, Dublin, Belfast, Cardiff, Blackpool and Norwich.
