Nancy Drew musical in the works from Alan Menken

A Nancy Drew musical is in development for a possible Broadway run.

Set at a musical theatre camp, the musical is titled Nancy Drew and the Mystery at Spotlight Manor.

The show has music by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast), lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde The Musical, Mean Girls The Musical) and a book by Sarah Kernochan.

The director of the show will be James Lapine (Into the Woods), and it will be produced by Daryl Roth, Lauren Mitchell, Revilo Imaginations, and Bill & Laurie Benenson.
