Full casting and creatives have been announced for Theatre Royal Bath’s forthcoming new musical Roman Holiday.
As previously reported Michael Xavier (My Fair Lady, Sunset Boulevard) will play American journalist Joe and Rebecca Collingwood will play young Princess Ann, the role made famous by Audrey Hepburn.
Casting announced today includes: Richenda Carey as Countess, Adrian der Gregorian as Irving, Tania Mathurin as Francesca, Tim Frances as Hennessy, and Gabrielle Cocca, Francis Dee, Maya de Faria, Joshua Gibbons, Heather Jackson, Ediz Mahmut, Max Mirza, Mia Mullarkey, Jesus Reyes Ortiz, Josh Patel-Foster, George Renshaw, and Ollie Selwood.
Based on the multi–Academy Award winning movie comedy which made a worldwide star of Audrey Hepburn, Roman Holiday is now transformed into a glittering stage musical, featuring the unforgettable music of Cole Porter including Easy To Love, You Do Something To Me, In The Still Of The Night, Just One Of Those Things and Night and Day.
Roman Holiday will be directed by two-time Olivier Award winner Jeremy Sams (Noises Off, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), and is adapted by Kirsten Guenther and Paul Blake, who co-wrote the West End production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
Other creatives include Choreography by Matt Cole and Jane McMurtie, Set and Costume design by Francis O’Connor, Lighting design by Mark Henderson, Sound design by Tom Marshall, and Casting by Ginny Schiller CDG.
Roman Holiday plays the Theatre Royal Bath from 10 June to 1 July 2023. There’s no current news of a West End transfer for the show.
