Stage and screen star Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) is coming home to the West End.
Apple has commissioned a holiday special from the star, who will perform in Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas, recorded in front of a live audience at the London Coliseum.
The special will play out over the Christmas holidays on Apple TV+, and feature the Emmy Award-winner singing her fave musical numbers from West End and Broadway shows with her big band, and joined on stage by surprise special guests.
Produced by Done + Dusted, the special will be directed by BAFTA Award-winner Hamish Hamilton, and executive produced by Hannah Waddingham, Katy Mullan, Moira Ross, Raj Kapoor and Nick Todisco.
Hannah Waddingham is currently wowing audiences in the third and final season of Apple’s comedy Ted Lasso, playing Rebecca Welton.
She recently hosted the 2023 Olivier Awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London, which will be good practice for her hosting duties at next month’s 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.
Her other new projects include ITV’s miniseries Tom Jones, Fox’s animated series Krapopolis, a new animated Garfield series, and movies The Fall Guy and Mission: Impossible 8.
