JULIE: The Musical to embark on UK Summer tour

New show Julie: The Musical will be hitting the road as it embarks on a UK tour this Summer.

Julie: The Musical is a brand new, award-winning, original musical telling the life and adventures of historical LGBTQ+ icon Julie D’Aubigny.

Written and directed by Abey Bradbury (they/she), the show features live music, comedy, tap dancing, sword fights, twerking nuns and kazoo choruses.

D’Aubigny is down in history as one of the most chaotic characters to have ever lived – one of the first public figures to live as an openly bisexual woman, she seduced nuns, duelled multiple men at once, burnt down convents, was bribed by princes, innovated opera – all before she turned 30.

The cast features Sophie Coward (she/her), Sam Kearney (they/them), Fabian Soto Pacheco (he/they), Georgia Leila Stoller (she/her) and Alexander Tilley (he/him).

The creative team also features Producer Conor Dye (he/him), Sound designer India Day (she/her), Set & lighting designer Rebecca Cox (she/her) and Stage manager Sophie Coward (she/her)

Julie: The Musical begins performances at the New Wimbledon Studio London on 31 May 2023, and will then travel to Hope Mill Theatre Manchester (19-24 June), Hull Truck Theatre Hull (30 June), Shakespeare North Prescot (8-9 July), Leeds Carriageworks (12-14 July) and culminating at The Other Palace theatre in London (25-30 July).
