The New Diorama Theatre in London has revealed casting for its new comedyWar & Future.
The play will star Peter Clements (Venus – Bristol Old Vic), Ferdy Roberts (The Tempest – Shakespeare’s Globe) and EM Williams (Dream – RSC, As You Like it – Northern Broadsides).
In 2022 the New Diorama submitted a number of freedom of information requests regarding government interference in cultural organisations and arts funding.
A statement from the production reads: “We did not specify that any information would be used in a show. There are also things we know, but we can’t tell you how we know them. This isn’t a joke, although the show will be funny.”
The creative team includes writer Nina Segal (Big Guns, O, Island!), director Jess Edwards (Elephant, Hotter/Fitter), lighting designer Bethany Gupwell, co-lighting designer Ryan Day, sound designer Tingying Dong, production and stage manager Sy Supersad, and technical stage manager and operator Adam Jefferys.
The comedy runs from 26 April to 12 May 2023 at the New Diorama Theatre.
