The West End production of Dirty Dancing announces new UK & Ireland tour for 2023.
Following its second smash-hit run at the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End, Dirty Dancing will embark on a new tour opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on Thursday 25 May 2023. See below for full tour schedule.
The movie-to-stage musical is now playing at the Dominion Theatre until 29 April 2023. Dirty Dancing tickets are now on sale.
Michael O’Reilly (West Side Story, Lord of the Flies) and Kira Malou (Fame), currently starring in the West End production will reprise their lead roles of Johnny and Baby on tour, with further casting to be announced.
Producer Karl Sydow says, I am thrilled about the success of the second Dominion Theatre season and to be going out on tour for the fifth time since 2011.
The show explodes with a great, heart-pounding score and plenty of breathtaking emotion. Plus, some very sexy dancing!
Dirty Dancing the musical features 35 smash-hit songs including Hungry Eyes, Hey! Baby, Do You Love Me? and (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life, and was a big success at the Dominion Theatre last year.
The show has a script by Eleanor Bergstein, and is directed by Federico Bellone, with choreography by Austin Wilks and supervising musical director Richard John, costume designer Jennifer Irwin, lighting designer Valerio Tiberi and sound designer Armando Vertullo.
