New musical Operation Mincemeat, which is coming to the West End’s Fortune Theatre this month, has dropped the first track from its new soundtrack.
Sony Music UK are releasing the tracks, and musical number ‘God That’s Brilliant’ is now available to stream.
Operation Mincemeat stars David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zöe Roberts, and is written and composed by SpitLip, made up of made up of David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoe Roberts.
Directed by Rob Hastie, the show comes to the West End following sold-out runs at the Southwark Playhouse and Riverside Studios, and will play the Fortune Theatre from 29 March 2023 for 8 weeks only until 8 July 2023.
Billed as Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, and Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is a fast-paced, hilarious and totally unbelievable true story about the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?
The wider creative team includes Choreography by Jenny Arnold, the Musical Director is Joe Bunker, Set and costume design by Ben Stones, Lighting design by Mark Henderson, Sound design by Mike Walker, and the Orchestrator & Musical Supervisor is Stephen Sidwell.
