House Of The Dragon star Milly Alcock to star in West End transfer of Arthur Miller Classic The Crucible

House of The Dragon’s Milly Alcock will make her London stage debut in the National Theatre’s West End transfer of The Crucible.

Lyndsey Turner’s acclaimed National Theatre revival of The Crucible will see Alcock play the vengeful Abigail Williams, previously played by Erin Doherty (Princess Anne in The Crown) when it was revived at the National last year.

Alcock, who play Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the first five episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is the first member of the cast to be announced.

The Crucible transfer to the Gielgud Theatre for a limited from 7 June 2023.

Lyndsey Turner’s creative team includes Es Devlin (design), Catherine Fay (costume), Tim Lutkin (lighting), Tingying Dong (sound, content design), Christopher Shutt ( sound, system design), Caroline Shaw (composer & arranger), Osnat School (music director), Bret Young (fight director), Ita O’Brien and Louise Kempton (intimacy director), Danièle Lydon and Hazel Holder (dialect coaches).

The Crucible runs from 7 June 2023 until 2 September 2023 at the Gielgud Theatre. See here for tickets to The Crucible.
