Gosh! It’s Gyles & Judi and All the Dames has added even more Dames to its line-up!
The benefit show being held at the London Palladium on 5 March 2023 celebrates the 75th birthday of actor, writer and personality Gyles Brandreth.
And to celebrate, Gyles is bringing together all of the famous Dames that he knows – chief amongst them actor Dame Judi Dench.
Dames already confirmed to join Gyles and Judi include Dame Eileen Atkins, Dame Floella Benjamin, Dame Sheila Hancock, Dame Maureen Lipman, and Dame Joanna Lumley.
Plus more Dames have now been announced, including Dame Twiggy Lawson, Dame Patricia Routledge, Dame Harriet Walter, Dame Penelope Wilton and Dame Eliza Mannigham-Buller.
The event is a fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and is sold out at the London Palladium; but a live stream of the event on Sunday 5 March at 3pm will now be available, and available on-demand for a week after the 5th.
To watch the stream will cost £25, and all proceeds will go to GOSH: the Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity (see link below).
At this extraordinary party at the London Palladium, Gyles will tell hilarious and revealing stories about all of the great Dames he has been lucky enough to know – from Dame Olivia de Havilland to Dame Barbara Windsor; and invite the great theatrical Dames of our time on stage to share their favourite stories – and treat us to their best party pieces! Expect songs, sonnets and surprise star guests…
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to GOSH Charity, to support seriously ill children from across the UK who travel to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for specialist care. GOSH Charity helps to fund pioneering medical research, state of the art equipment, support services for children and their families like parent accommodation and the hospital’s dedicated play team, and the vital rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital.
