Initial casting for the West End transfer of Operation Mincemeat has been revealed.
The hit musical comedy will welcome back David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zöe Roberts, the 2023 Off-West End ‘BestMusical Production’ award winning cast from the Southwark Playhouse/ Riverside Studios run.
Operation Mincemeat will play the West End’s Fortune Theatre from 29 March 2023 for 8 weeks only until 8 July 2023.
Billed as Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, and Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is a fast-paced, hilarious and totally unbelievable true story about the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?
Written and composed by SpitLip, made up of made up of David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoe Roberts, the show is directed by Rob Hastie.
The show features Choreography by Jenny Arnold, the Musical Director is Joe Bunker, Set and costume design by Ben Stones, Lighting design by Mark Henderson, Sound design by Mike Walker, and the Orchestrator & Musical Supervisor is Stephen Sidwell.
Operation Mincemeat has enjoyed great reviews for its various London seasons, with TimeOut calling the show a “glorious spoof musical” and The Stage a “masterclass of macabre musical comedy, masterfully performed”.
